Katie Smith (2L) will be interning this summer with Chief Judge Laura Taylor, a 9th District Bankruptcy Judge in San Diego.
"I am very excited about this position," said Smith. “At this point, I am unsure of any specific projects that I will be working on. But I just received a detailed packet with my duties that I will read before I begin.”
Smith believes that she will be doing research and brief writing in addition to observing trials.
“I am thrilled and honored to be offered this position because I know it will provide me with a greater understanding of how the courts function and provide me with the hands on experience I need to be successful in my legal career,”Smith said.
