Professor Rhamy teaches Torts at Thomas Jefferson. She is also an instructor with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. In her practice, she has been a public entity civil ligation trial attorney for over 20 years.
Currently, Professor Rhamy is a Deputy City Attorney for the San Diego City Attorney’s Office, working as a Litigation Consultant advising and mentoring attorneys in all aspects of civil litigation.
Professor Rhamy began her practice career as criminal prosecutor for the San Diego City Attorney’s Office. She then moved to the Civil Division of the City Attorney’s Office and defended the City and employees in areas including personal injury, employment, and civil rights. She joined the Office of County Counsel for San Diego County in 2007 where she defended the County and employees primarily in the areas of employment and civil rights. She has also worked as Deputy Attorney General for the California Office of Attorney General in the Licensing Division.
